How to make Tokyo Tokyo Red Iced Tea

I like Tokyo Tokyo Red Iced Tea because its different from other iced teas mainly because its color red hahaha but it really taste good especially when paired with good food. This is one of the things I always order when eating at Tokyo Tokyo, But I can't always go to Tokyo Tokyo just to buy  their Red iced Tea therefore I searched around the internet on how to make it at home. But after hours of searching I couldn't find it, good thing a friend of mine
shared the ingredients, so here it is....

What you will be needing:

Nestea Litro Pack
1.2 Liters of Water
Hershey's Strawberry Syrup ( this is the secret ingredient! )
lemon slices ( optional )

Steps:

1. First mix the Nestea Litro Pack with 1.2 Liters of water.
2. add hershey's syrup ( 200ml  125ml more or less depends on how strong the flavor you want. )
3. No need to add sugar! because the syrup is sweet already.
4. add lemon slices ( optional )
5. add ice
6. Enjoy! =D

  4. i've always wondered what it was. i've tried all sorts of tea thinking maybe its rose tea or pomegranate tea, because of the red color. but nothing comes close to Tokyo Tokyo's red tea. i wouldn't have guessed the secret ingredient!

    thank you so much!

  12. can i substitute the strawberry syrup with the powdered strawberry juice?

    ReplyDelete
  13. You could. But I don't recommend using the powdered strawberry juice, the taste is so much inferior.

  19. OH MY GOD! one day at TOKYO TOKYO, hinintay ko talaga maubos ung ice tea nila sa lagayan na transparent na umiikot, cause i wanted to see kung anu ung tinitimpla nila, a bag of ice tea without a name pero parang hard foil sya which is aluminum ung texture, and put some another liquid which is very same color and shape bottle ng hershey's you post, all this time amf un pala un.

But hey, ok din itong timpla na gawa ko, try it, on a 1 liter of water, add 1 liter pack of nestea (ung tig 10 pesos ba un) lemon flavor ha, then add squeeze around 50ml to 100ml. Squeeze can be purchase to any supermarket, basta squeeze ung brand at calamansi flavor, not dalandan.

  20. Hi yung calamansi/dalandan mixed with nestea is exactly how Wendy's Iced tea is made. :)

  21. i already tried this method, pero in a 1.2 liters of water + icetea 10 pesos pack + 125ml of hersheys strawberry, medyo matapang ung pagka strawberry nya, buti na lang hindi 200 nailagay ko, maybe later on babawasan ko pa ng ml ung strawberry, 75ml to 100ml i guess. very close na sa tokyo tokyo red tea hehehe...

  22. Oops.. sorry about that.. actually the 200ml is just a wild guess.. I didn't bother measuring the strawberry syrup... just poured in to my hearts content. :))

  25. try grenadine syrup instead of strawberry syrup. cheaper but tasty.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Anyone tried grenadine? Is it taste like tokyo tokyo red tea? Or its better to use hersheys strawberry syrup?

  28. truth is, the supplier of Tokyo Tokyo red iced tea is based in san juan. they are not selling the red iced tea syrup in the market because Tokyo Tokyo want it exclusive. they made an agreement that it can only be sold to them. but, the supplier has many varieties. they sell green flavored iced tea which is also good. I forgot what is the name of the company, but it's in san juan. nadadaanan lng ito ng jeep pag lumagpas na ng agora market. Harold ung name nung nasa sales. they have good quality products
